The Algal Bloom Action Team’s held its fourth Virtual Harmful Algal Bloom Research Symposium on January 4th, 2024. We discussed the monitoring and treatment of harmful algal blooms (HABs), as well as outreach and communication about HABs. This year’s symposium also featured a presentation from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) ocean acidification program about their work assessing freshwater acidification.
